PORTFOLIO MANAGER - DEALER ACCOUNTS

SUMMARY:

This position uses account management tools to drive cash flow while offering exemplary customer service. Management of a pre-assigned portfolio of accounts will require accountability in the following areas -

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Establishing monthly cash forecast for designated accounts utilizing SAP AR management tools

 

 

  • Daily monitoring of account activities and following up for payment to meet established goal

 

 

  • Corresponding with Dealers to identify account discrepancies (ie disputes, missing invoices, etc.)

 

 

  • Monthly meetings with Business Units to resolve identified disputes.

 

 

  • Monthly reporting against forecast (including O/S disputes; missed commitments; etc)

 

 

  • Estimates of bad debt reserve requirements against portfolio performance.

 

 

  • Meet with key accounts at their location to better understand their business and provide guidance on new "self service" tools. (Anticipate @1 week per quarter.)

 

 

  • Other duties as required.

 

 

CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Must have experience in managing customer accounts / relationships; additionally must have a working knowledge of accounting and/or credit management; must be proficient in working with systems / automation of processes (SAP experience is highly desired).

 

COMPETENCIES:

Self management; organizational skills; developing partnerships; communication

 

EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree

1-2 years credit/collections experience is desired (especially in a manufacturing environment).
