The Warranty Specialist is responsible for overseeing the document flow of warranty claims and warranty credits from and to OEM business partners, dealers and distributors of products sold to customers. Directly serve all business partners as well as share responsibility of several hundred dealer/distributor network with various warranty and product registration programs in a friendly and professional manner. Must enjoy working in a fast paced team environment. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:                              

  1. Seek opportunities to control warranty costs through effective auditing, editing, and review of claims and registration requests.
    1. Identify and correct internal and external errors.
    2. Identify and address issues that conflict with established warranty policies and programs.
  2. Assist in the responsibility for the integrity of product registration and warranty claims database.
  3. Participate directly in and support all company and department programs, goals, and objectives that support outstanding customer service.
    1. Assist dealers/distributors in resolving questions related to electronic filing of warranty claims and registrations.
    2. Maintain a positive business relationship with business partners, dealers, distributors, and local personnel.
    3. Adjust warranty claims as necessary, and be accountable to the business partner as well as dealer/distributor for the adjustments made.
    4. Assist Registration Specialist in the resolving of dealer inquiries on product registration issues as necessary.
  4. Must be flexible and willing to perform a variety of other tasks and duties as required by department needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

  1. Strong organizational/analytical skills a must.
  2. Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  3. Knowledge of snowmobiles and ATV's and their related parts, clothing, and accessories would be very beneficial.
  4. Friendly, professional email and telephone etiquette
  5. Knowledge of computer programs Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  6. Must demonstrate good judgment and decision making skills.
  7. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial, but not required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Post-secondary education preferred and/or job related experience.
  3. Office and computer experience necessary.
