This Graphic Stylist position is part of a team that is responsible for the entire cosmetic appearance of snowmobiles as well as several models within the Textron Off-road brands including off-road vehicles and golf carts as well as various accessories that fit within the brand.  Based out of our Thief River Falls / St. Cloud, MN facilities, this Stylist would combine color and graphic elements to develop a complete visual package best suited for that particular market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for the execution of design activities, including concept generation, styling, rendering, graphic design and application of design to present to styling committee for evaluation per corporate goals.
  2. Requires quantitative buyer research gathered by the designer together with information gathered by the company's internal marketing group as a basis for development.
  3. Designer must work closely and have good rapport with outside suppliers on issues of materials, colors, etc.
  4. Responsible for getting graphics completed on schedule, giving all information to be detailed with a drawing and providing procurement with information needed.
  5. Work directly with Engineering BOM techs to produce spec sheets that provide clear direction for bills of materials and production staff.
  6. Aid in the training of production staff on proper decal installation procedures. This individual would be responsible for multiple assembly line checks on quality and accuracy of the cosmetic appearance of machines being built.
  7. Organize and manage vehicle graphic prototypes while working with QA personnel on having graphics approved and released on time for production builds.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Working knowledge of design software on a PC platform including Corel Draw, Adobe Creative Cloud, as well as experience with printer/plotters and graphics materials.
  2. Extensive knowledge of graphic fundamentals, print and design capabilities.
  3. A superior understanding of brand marketing and motor sport industry vehicles.
  4. Ability to schedule realistic projects within given time limitations.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Excellent planning and organizational skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  1. B.A. Degree with relevant courses including computer aided design, graphic design, illustration, figure drawing and sketching
  2. Minimum of five years of experience in a comparable field
  3. Knowledge of the power sports and extreme sports industries
