Under direction of the Product Managers, the technician constructs and maintains Bills of Material (BOM) on assigned Models.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Originate part numbers and complete all fields within SAP required by Engineering.
  2. Originate ECN's (Engineering Change Notice) numbers and complete all fields within SAP required by Engineering.
  3. Process all BMC's (Bill of Material Changes) and coordinates in/out dates with Engineering Change Coordinator.
  4. Coordinate all BOM activities for assigned models with the entire ATV/ROV personnel.
  5. Maintain commonality/consistency across all ATV & ROV product lines where applicable.
  6. Tracks status of unreleased drawings for assigned models.
  7. Assure BOM accuracy thru utilization of BOM comparisons and physical audits.
  8. Releases Production Validation Build BOM to Product Manager on scheduled release dates.
  9. Releases Production BOM to Product Manager on scheduled release dates.
  10. Verify BOM to Production Validation Build.
  11. Provide cross-department (purchasing, manufacturing, service, warranty, accessories, etc.) BOM support.
  12. Restrict confidential material from being expressed in written, pictorial or verbal form without proper authorization.
  13. Participate in and encourage the highest level of quality, efficiency and professionalism.
  14. Communicate effectively and encourage assigned team member's efforts.
  15. Promote positive interaction with all internal disciplines and external suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  1.  Proficient in verbal and written communications.
  2. Ability to use PC based spreadsheet and word processing programs Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  3. Demonstrate ability to work well with people.
  4. Possess riding skills.

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Two-year technical degree and/or equivalent experience.
  3. Minimum one (1) year prior, professional experience preferably on wheeled vehicles and familiar with BOM's
